The brand ITALO MARSEGLIA was born in 2014 from the ambition of its namesake designer.

Italo, a dreamer with a natural bent to mathematics, started working in Roman couture ateliers and then measured his creativity and improved his knowledges dealing with many fashion consultancies. He had the chance to work in p.a.p., fur and leather outwear for women. Alongside these experiences the designer keeps as cornerstones of his work the rigorous research for materials and the mathematical development of shapes, following the line of the “less is more”. Collections get immediately good response and success among public and buyers. Attending to the most important trade shows in Europe (like Tranoï and White) Italo Marseglia’s creations are now sold in many countries from Asia to America.

His creations come to life as two-dimensional shapes, following the geometricmathematical process developed by the designer, and following the lines of the body gaining volume and adapting themselves to bodies and their movements, without the need of a canonical size. Thanks to the rigorous cuts and to the “mathematical shapes”, every creation leaves freedom to everybody’s shape and taste.

The accurate research and the meticulous study that lead Italo in the choice of materials – hanging in the balance between sartorial tradition and innovation, also allow the creation of “made to order” pieces. On the basis of the collection, buyers can decide to personalize pieces and accessories, choosing the fabric or the color to get a unique product.

The collections are developed after the necessity of having a well-developed and well-finished piece. For this reason, each creation needs an adequate tailoring, representing its unique commodity-related features. This led the designer to meticulously choose only Italian studios able to finish the sartorial details of every piece.

In his dreamlike journeys, Italo tells stories of strong and introvert women who claim a whispered femininity, wrapping the body in drapery, playing with mostly one color and with textures that enliven its works. Full and empty spaces are in equilibrium, giving expression to new mathematical harmonies.

Italo Marseglia aims to revalue the Italian Know-how and its deep knowledge of craftsmanship. Our brand is young and dynamic so ready to approach new business challenges and foreign markets dealing wit his creative method. Nevertheless each new step will aim to revalue those values which made the “made in Italy” famous such as research and innovation, traditions and craftsmanship. Dealing with them the brand will become a point of reference for all those costumers who loves beauty and quality.
